We pay my oldest $1 every time he reads a book. We're talking 160 page
chapter books.
I'm out $120 this year and he thinks he's ripping me off. Best investment ever.

    • I am borrowing this idea!!! Absolutely a great investment. I have a 26 year old that absolutely loved to read and still does! I now have a 7 year old that doesn't really care to. However, she loves money. Lol this is a great encouragement for her!

    • He is actually getting more than I got when I was in middle school. I got nothing! Do you know how many whole books I read in middle school? 2 because they were mandatory for book reports then I learned a trick. My husband gobbles books up because his parents had him read as a child.
