John and his friend Bob went out hunting one day. Bob had never hunted before, so he followed
John saw a herd of deer and told
Bob to stay exactly where he was, and to be very quiet.
A moment later, Bob heard a scream. He ran back and asked
John what had happened.
"A poisonous snake slithered
across my foot," said John. "But that didn't make me scream.
Then a brown bear and snarled at me, but still didn't scream."
"So why the hell did you scream?" asked Bob impatiently.
"Well," John went on, "Two squirrels crawled up my trouser leg, and heard one say to the other: "Shall we take them home or eat them now?"
