My first attempt at poetry years ago...

Trial and tribulations will come your way,
Sweeping the serenity into stormy days.
The forceful winds with their turbulent flow,
The lighting crashing with an electric glow.
The weak destroyed as the storm arrives,
Leaving the strong with hope to survive.
The Wind blows as we discover in the end,
Even the strongest in a storm can sometimes bend.
Never embrace what has come to a conclusion,
Holding on to the past is just your illusion.
So when days are filled with heartache and pain,
Learn to let go in life's hurricane.
