• "You know what makes me sick to my stomach?
When I hear grown people say that kids have changed. Kids haven't changed. Kids don't know anything about anything.
We've changed as adults.
We demand less of kids.
We expect less of kids. We make their lives easier in- stead of preparing them for what life is truly about.
We're the ones that have changed."

    • Don't forget the laws changed. Years ago when a child misbehave, they got their ass whipped. Today, you get locked up if you touch the child in discipline and they know that and use it against you. I'm not taking the blame for ALL the bad decisions they make. Some kids need to learn the hard way, or

    • Yes that's very true my kids grew up in the early 80s and they got their ass whooped when they were wrong and they're doing fine now I'm doing fine now cuz my mother used to whoop my ass. Tough way to learn but it sure makes you learn quicker

    • They passed that law that if you hit your kids you'll go to jail but you have to know the difference between discipline and abuse and some parents don't know the difference sadly to say and some parents just don't care and let them do what ever they want

    • Now thats an understatement. To think that most parents are accused of abuse when they raise there kids as they were raised. Mine are all doing well and can take care of themselves. Thats what we should start with

    • Partly true. Society has changed as well. The modern conveniences and technology available is bound to change people—for better or worse. Meanwhile work hours have expanded and that means less time with the children. So we rely on electronic “babysitters”. TV has changed. Schools have changed
